System for Full-Time Van Living

This client lives in their van full time, so they needed a system that could handle a heavy amount of constant use. The van is parked in a shaded spot, so in lieu of solar, we opted to incorporate a robust Victron shore-power charger and inverter, and an alternator charger for replenishing the batteries quickly while driving. The system is mounted to the chassis using aluminum extrusions, and designed to fit neatly into a cabinet the customer built. This setup is designed to be simple for the customer to use, and delivers more than enough power for a water heater, a perpetually running fridge, and enough charging capability that the client never has to think twice about their power consumption!
